Summary of Internship

The Data Privacy Program Internship position provides an opportunity for students who are pursuing a legal, policy, ethics, cybersecurity, social sciences, business or similar field to get hands on experience working with privacy professionals in a fast-paced global privacy program.

The privacy intern will support a new and growing global privacy program protecting the personal data and individual rights of our colleagues, customers and general public.

The position starts in May or June, paid working 40 hours per week through August. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

Essential Functions

• Develop and document procedures to standardize data privacy operations activities.
• Track and monitor privacy assessments, individual rights activities, business as usual.
• Help with implementation of all global privacy work streams including Privacy by design, Notice, Individual.
• Manage projects, perform fact- finding and research activities, investigations, etc.
• Assist with document management and site development and maintenance.
• Attend and document meetings and actions, track and process requests for privacy checks, privacy related activities such as compliance or operational activities.
• Analyze and research requests and inquiries, work across business lines to resolve and track streamline process and documentation.
• Write and publish toolkit elements and guidance.
• Work with customers and business privacy leads to support program implementation.
• Perform data inventory activities.
• Maintain meeting schedule for privacy team and business privacy leads and oversight groups.
• Prepare presentations, supporting materials for leadership, business and privacy office.
• Participate in mentoring programs.
• Contribute to strategy for compliance with current and coming global privacy laws.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in legal, policy, ethics, cybersecurity, social sciences, business or similar field
