    FULL-TIME, DAY SHIFT, 40 HOURS PER WEEK, MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00AM-5:00PM

     

    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for leading the development and execution of a strategic and tactical marketing plan focused on test and service line strategies to deliver against expected financial goals (revenue and profit) and organizational priorities.

     

    PURPOSE:

    The purpose of this document is to describe the general nature and level of work performed by personnel as classified; it is not intended to serve as an inclusive list of all responsibilities associated with this position.

           

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  

    1. Works cross-functionally (with Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, Billing, Sales, Process Excellence, Operations, and IT departments) to assess, prioritize, communicate and gain collaborations from other departments for critical test and service lines initiatives that focus on driving HNL’s financial success. 
    2. Leads market, competitive, and customer research to gain insights and identify needs, market trends, and gaps in HNL’s tests and service offerings. Leverages clinical information/innovation into market opportunities. Uses this information to develop opportunity assessments to prioritize the development of tests and services that address unmet customer needs and drive profitable growth by considering HNL’s ability to compete. 
    3. Establishes and tracks effectiveness of deployed strategies and tactics with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 
    4. Responsible for new launches by ensuring pricing, coding, reporting, training, advertising/promotion, channel strategies and other tactics are launch-ready. 
    5. Supports development of annual business planning with internal partners and collaborates to achieve agreed revenue, volume and margin targets. 
    6. Using Voice of the Customer (VOC), develops effective positioning and required marketing mix to deliver the appropriate message for customer segments, effective sales and support tools. 
    7. Defines and manages current test and service line requirements (including turnaround times (TAT) and other potential requirements such as billing programs, prior authorization etc.). 
    8. Oversees the organization’s marketing and communications strategies (including web and digital) and team, to grow current business. Ensures the development of an effective communications plan that drives awareness and promotes, enhances, and protects HNL’s brand reputation. 
    9. Develops clinical Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and patient advocacy group relationships as appropriate. 
    10. Effectively manages discretionary spending.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in business, medical or science related field. MBA preferred. 10+ years in sales and marketing with 5+years in management roles. Experience in In-Vitro Diagnostics and/or Reference Laboratories. Proven experience as a Product and Marketing Director to include understanding in product and market analysis and the development of business cases to support investment. Must have a successful track record in developing and implementing a successful product, marketing and sales strategy that drives profitable revenue growth including familiarity with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns).

         

    Language Ability:

    Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills including demonstrated ability to influence / motivate colleagues to successfully deliver cross-functional projects. Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment. Strong presentation skills in large and small settings. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

     

    Math Ability:

    Analytically strong and able to extract insights from sales and market data.

        

    Reasoning Ability:   

    Sound business acumen and strategic thinking/problem-solving ability to include Analytical mind and strong quantitative skill Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to respond to needs and requests from customers and internal organization. Strong analytical and quantitative thinking skills a must.

     

    Computer Skills:

    Strong working knowledge of MS Office, CRMs and use of Marketing Automation. Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends) and digital strategies.

      

    Certificates and Licenses:

    A valid driver’s license from the state that the employee resides.
