We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Director to lead our search engine marketing, data marketing, social media, paid media, content development and publishing, eStorefronts / eCommerce, and marketing analytics to success for our LABORATORY CHEMICALS DIVISION at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The LCD Digital Marketing Director will be an experienced marketer who can evangelize and train our marketing organization about digital media as well as support a team of talented professionals on executing. She/He will set the future direction, strategy, and vision for LCD’s digital customer experience achieving loyalty and mind-share. This role will work across the business units, regions and divisions to ensure that eCommerce and digital channels are integral part of the marketing mix and that the objectives of channel preference are delivered. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Leads the development and delivery of the Division’s Digital Marketing Strategy, Annual Operating plan, processes and technology implementation, as well as reporting and thorough ROI analysis
• Develops and integrates all the LCD digital channels and optimizes the mix to ensure superb customer experience while meeting efficiently and effectively the business objectives
• Partners with the business cross-functional teams to develop, execute and measure integrated digital marketing campaigns, aligned with business goals and engaging our customers in loyal and satisfying relationships
• Owns the divisions eStorefronts, and collaborates with eBusiness and IT teams, across the organization, in development and optimization of these channels for overall success and eCommerce growth
• Accountable to achieve eCommerce revenue, EBITA, and all digital marketing KPI targets as mutually established with the business
• Provides strategic guidance and develops the members of the digital team to ensure they are staying up to date with changes in the digital marketing space
• Represents the Division’s needs in digital and ebusiness projects and teams across divisions and groups at Thermo Fisher Scientific
• Influences and educates the wider LCD marketing organization to adopt and deploy new marketing media and emerging online (web and mobile) marketing and selling tactics and technologies

HOW WILL YOU GET HERE? EDUCATION:

• BA/BS in major in business or technical field; MBA, advance degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Min. 10+ years’ experience in customer-driven digital marketing, advertising, or eCommerce from consumer or technology industries
• Proficiency in all aspects of online marketing programs using Google AdWords, Display, and paid social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
• Extensive experience in successfully leading large, and remote teams of digital marketers who consistently deliver creative, customer engaging marketing digital programs
• Experience with planning, executing, and tracking large marketing budgets
• Proficiency in developing content strategies while considering user experience and SEO
• Understanding of basic user experience (UX) design and capturing the most from your content. Must be comfortable with HTML programming.
• Analytics report design and strategy - understanding the appropriate KPIs to show success and setting appropriate metrics and targets; Experience with web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Web Analytics, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior leaders on a regular basis
• A passion for learning and testing new marketing best practices
• 20-25% travel
