We are looking for a world class R&D Intern for our Raleigh NC Office Reporting to the Sr. Director or Research & Development, the R&D Intern will support the R&D team on day to day ad hoc requests that may include receiving, processing, and testing a variety of absorbent care products, provide support for application testing and post-trial analysis, while applying good understanding of theory and application. The R&D Intern role can be either full-time or part-time, 10 to 40 hours per work week job, but selected candidate may be asked to work extended hours based on business need. RESPONSIBILITIES IN DETAIL * Assist/support the R&D team with daily lab testing and analysis. * Follow testing procedures accurately, consistently and in a timely manner as assignments are given to you per your project manager. * Accurately report results in a statistical format and record written results in a lab notebook, providing observations and suggestions when required. * Maintain test equipment in good calibration and working order, coordinating with vendors as needed. * When needed, develop new, and refine existing, test methods under supervision of assigned project manager. Research and understand test needs, lay out test protocol and evaluate correlation strength/acceptability of method. * Participate in department meetings and activities. * Investigate and resolve R&D testing issues and make improvements and recommendations to prevent reoccurrence; improve R&D efficiencies. * Be an effective liaison between our R&D, marketing and product development teams. Position Requirements Basic Qualifications * Must be enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior in an accredited college degree bachelors program majoring in engineering or physical science. * Minimum 3.0 GPA.
