    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As a member of the Packaging Engineering Department within Grand Island Operations, this opportunity will provide the following experience to prepare an individual for a full time position at graduation:

    • cGMP training

    • Medical device manufacturing experience

    • Risk and Gap assessment training

    • Packaging development experience

    • Process Improvement experience

    • Mentorship from Packaging Engineers

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The overall responsibilities will encourage the skill development necessary for a Medical Device Packaging Engineer. This includes, technical application, work with various packaging components, design development, design validation, investigations and distribution testing.

    • Learn to apply customer satisfaction (internal and external) into building prototypes, testing designs, and validating developed design for customer approval and manufacturability.

    • Develop project managements skills with support from a mentor, to apply to reporting on projects, tracking projects and monitoring tasks on projects.

    • Provide support under the direction and review of mentor on packaging by working with the suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing teams.

    • Ability to show proficiencies in and ability to apply standard packaging engineering subject matter to problem solving.

    • Interested in career growth and motivated by success and performance.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pursuing a B.S. in Packaging Engineering with 0 years experience working with packaging components. This individual is developing research, data gathering, analysis and project management skills.
