    Quality Team within the New Product Development Group

    HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

    Our Product Quality Engineering team is responsible for system integration, test and quality, including requirement definition, system integration, performance testing, reliability modeling, and verification that the implementation meets application and market needs.

    This role is responsible for integrating work from the New Product Development agile teams into the system and process for Large Dual Beam (LDB) systems. This person will contribute as an integral part of the product development team, driving the electro-mechanical integration and proving software functionality required for the automated LDB system to meet application requirements. This person will ensure that the processes are appropriately characterized and controlled, championing quality from project inception to completion.

    In this position, you will join a team developing the preeminent innovative wafer-to-atomic information workflows, enabling our semiconductor customers to make timely decisions. By accelerating the information age, you will be helping make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    • Evaluate system and automated processes through testing and data-driven analysis, determining appropriate control limits and variables for specifications.
    • Responsible for key aspects of system integration and qualification working hands-on with complex prototype electro-mechanical systems.
    • Support the characterization of system performance of automated Large Dual Beam (LDB) microscope system using statistical analysis, design of experiment (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC).
    • Optimize alignment and maintenance strategies of the system.
    • Work with a variety of technology including SEM, FIB, HVPS, vacuum, gas chemistry, detectors, optics, robots, electro-mechanical systems and pneumatics.
    • Document to the project team the test strategy and report on progress for each part of the system under development.
    • Develop and document the instructions to integrate and calibrate new modules, systems and features
  • Qualifications

    HOW WILL YOU GET HERE?

    IF YOU HAVE A COMBINATION OF THESE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Math (STEM) discipline (Electrical Engineering and Controls Engineering preferred).
      • Close to (Masters) graduation with a plan to finish after or during this internship is an excellent discussion point for an application

    BONUS POINTS FOR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES IN THESE AREAS

    • Proficiency applying a scripting language to produce a desired automated functionality.
    • Hands-on capability to integrate, test and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems.
    • Proven capability to learn new technology.
    • Strong analytical perspective with the ability to demonstrate practical decision making.
    • Ability for proactive, result-oriented performance, priority and time management.
    • Aptitude and desire to apply systems engineering principles and science-based innovation to a wide range of cross-cutting problems.
    • Familiarity with Building PC equipment, operating systems and networking
    • Experience applying six sigma and performing statistical analysis and modeling is preferred.
    • Experience with laboratory instrumentation, electronics, and electromechanical systems.
    • Knowledge of specifying, modeling, verifying and reporting system reliability.
    • Knowledge of reliability growth modeling and Weilbull analysis is preferred.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling using DOE and SPC is preferred.
