We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs, and can be expected to gain valuable insight that can further your interest in your chosen career field.

    Summary of Internship: partner closely with our Environmental Health & Safety team on a specific projects that would lead to the development of site safety documents, reference material, and training material.

    Examples include:

    • Streamline current programs and standard operating procedures
    • Analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Safety testing in work areas
    • Create site specific Safety Inspection forms and administer training
    • To meet safety requirements, safety inspection forms need to be reviewed and standardized
    • Develop and conduct training for team members to clearly understand how inspections should be completed
    • Active involvement with multiple aspects of safety and environmental tasks
    • Additional specific tasks tailored to Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) readiness
    • Participate in site safety team meetings

  • Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Student enrolled in an Environmental Health & Safety or related program at an accredited college
    • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and guidelines
    • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including MS office
