Make a Difference.This is a Part Time Coder PositionResponsibilities:*Ophthalmology Surgery Coding Experience RequiredReviewing physician reports and appending appropriate Evaluation and Management (E/M) code and/or CPT along with HCPCS Level II, ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM codes, and modifiersProviding feedback to physicians regarding coding and documentationReview Medical Records to identify diagnoses/proceduresUnder general supervision, interacts with clinical contacts to clarify and promote accurate documentation of patient diagnostic and procedural informationEnters patient information into the computerized medical record and billing systems and/or company spreadsheet, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the medical record data abstracted or encounter data corrected, prior to submitting the dataEnsures timely data completion by meeting coding/abstracting productivity/quality standards established for the Professional CoderEnsure all external regulations affecting the coding process are implemented in the work course to assure compliance and consistency of coding and reduce the risk of external audits.Qualifications:CCS-P, CCS, or CPC certification required from AHIMA or AAPCWorking knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM, Prospective Payment Systems, Correct Coding Initiative, Third Party LiabilityExtensive knowledge of coding and processing of Government claims - specifically Medicare, Medical and Workers CompensationMinimum of 3 years relevant coding experienceCandidates MUST have extensive E/M coding experience, and/or surgical coding experience.Join our team today where we are creating a better coordinated, increasingly collaborative, and more efficient healthcare system!Change Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
