Headquartered in the biotechnology center of Somerville, Massachusetts, our patented REFS™ technology is based on recent breakthroughs in causal machine learning and AI that transforms massive quantities of patient data into _in silico _patients that simulate clinical trials. These computer models are simulated to discover new drugs for serious diseases, and power up solutions that, biopharmaceutical companies utilize to slow disease progression and improve therapeutic effectiveness. Our platforms and solutions have been validated across oncology, immunology, cardiovascular, metabolic disease, and neurology, etc. and have appeared in over 50 peer-reviewed publications.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Full Stack/Front End Engineer will join a world-class Engineering Team to help GNS build and enhance their Gemini in silico Patient™ platform. This individual is an expert on front end development and is eager to learn about our broad code base and contribute throughout. Any given week might involve design of a screen widget, but also profiling a Machine Learning algorithm, and the potential to work with our R&D team as they handoff new scientific approaches.
This individual should be used to stepping outside of their comfort zone and be flexible and savvy in order to pick up new concepts and coding languages. This role does not require prodding to step forward and offer advice, a helping hand, constructive feedback or a kind word. We’re looking for an engineer who knows when to ask for help, has no problem saying, “I don’t know” and is constantly striving to improve their work product and add to their skill set. The right candidate can teach, wants to learn, and is a great team player.
Our code stack varies. We have critical code written in C, C++, Java, R, Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL. We primarily work on AWS but are beginning to embrace other cloud platforms. We depend on Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira and many tools. We’re a small, but scrappy group.
