6 Month Intern- Pharma Technical Operations- Facilities & Engineering South San Francisco California, United States of America Job ID:201810-123649 -The Position The Facilities team ensures South San Francisco Production equipment, utilities, buildings, and maintenance processes are ready to deliver product to patients. Drug Substance Maintenance and Calibration team executes calibrations, routine anddiscretionary maintenance in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner as a key enabler for our Manufacturing customers. Drug Substance Maintenance & Calibration partners with other organizations to ensure that our processes improve. Description This intern project will work in a dynamic environment providing service support for equipment, systems and instruments in the Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing areas. The intern will: -Develop data base of the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) isolation points for the instruments and equipment in the GMP manufacturing areas referring to the piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and walking down the instruments in the GMP manufacturing areas -Collaborate with maintenance & calibration (M&C) and safety, health & environment (SHE) team members to understand the LOTO process and create LOTO forms -Collaborate with Bio DS Manufacturing IT USA team to upload the data into the LOTO database website to create online LOTO forms -Create equipment specific LOTO kits for maintenance team Prepare and organize technical documentation -Perform analysis and presentations Gain knowledge of GMP processing in the biotech industry Qualifications: -Piping & instrumentation diagram knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, -Preferred major is engineering -Demonstrated high level of scholastic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or higher) -Who We Are A member of the Roche Group, Genentech has been at the forefront of the biotechnology industry for more than 40 years, using human genetic information to develop novel medicines for serious and life-threatening diseases.
