    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

    The Demand Planning Internship position provides an opportunity for students who are currently pursuing a Math, Engineering, or similar degree to get hands on experience working with global Supply Chain professionals in a fast-paced and complex global planning environment. The Demand Planning intern will contribute to development projects and advance best design practices. THE POSITION STARTS IN MAY OR JUNE, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Provide Supply Chain Planning support related to product management and commercial projects including long-term business planning and global inventory disposition
    • Support a variety of supply chain activities and may be assigned to a variety of demand and supply tasks throughout the department
    • Be involved with many aspects of demand aggregation and analysis
    • Provide feedback on customer specifications and launch timelines
    • Learn about global supply chain planning through daily activities.
    • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvement
    • Specific tasks will be tailored to the demand planning interns experience level and abilities
    • A demand planning intern works under the close supervision of global demand and supply planners, product managers, and inventory supervisors.
  • Qualifications
    • Pursuing an undergrad degree in Math or Engineering,
    • Previous Internship Experience
    • Experience with excel

    To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

    • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
    • Desire to contribute and improve design of new and existing scientific instrumentation products
    • Exceptional customer focus
    • Desire to teach other planners about technology in area of expertise
    • Familiarity with of least one statistical tool such as SAP, JD Edwards, JMP, Minitab
    • Aptitude for excel. VBA a plus.
