For more information, please visit www.grail.com. As a software engineer intern at GRAIL youll enjoy working on a team that has broad array of software systems and projects. You will have the opportunity to develop enterprise and production level software that impact Grails mission. Quality and operational excellence are our joint responsibility. Each and every one of us takes ownership of the quality of our products from design, through implementation, testing and production. We review code before check-in, have thorough unit and integration tests, continuous integration and reproducible production deployments that we jointly operate. Interns at Grail Work on a Wide Spectrum of Software Projects: LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and lab robotics and automation management systems. EDC (Electronic Data Capture) system for conducting clinical studies. Mobile and web application development, user interface design and user experience research. Cloud (AWS) automation and service development. Data storage design, APIs and associate large scale data processing systems and algorithms. Compression techniques and algorithms; algorithm design, implementation and optimization particularly for processing DNA sequencing data. Your Background Should Include: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics or similar technical field. 6 months experience designing, developing, testing and maintaining software. Excellent knowledge of general purpose programming languages including C++, Java, Javascript, Python, Go. Genuine interest in human biology and genetics. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience with and track record of quickly learning new programming languages and technologies.
