  • Responsibilities

    Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a laboratory seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join their team on the night shift. This role is essential in supporting patient care through high-quality histology work in a fast-paced environment.

    Schedule: Monday–Friday | Shift start between 8:00 PM–10:00 PM (8-hour shift)
    Employment Type: Full-Time | Benefits Eligible
    Note: Position is eligible for a shift differential

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare tissue samples by embedding and cutting slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures

    • Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on lab equipment

    • Recognize and respond to issues requiring troubleshooting in processing, embedding, cutting, and staining

    • Operate safely and efficiently in a laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards

    • Uphold safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control protocols

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in Biology or related science required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

    • ASCP HT or HTL certification (or eligibility to sit for the exam) required

    • Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a histology lab preferred

    • At least 1 year of general laboratory experience preferred

    Preferred Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume lab environment

    • Documented experience with special stains and immunohistochemistry
