  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY: 

    • Reviews Conventional real estate appraisals to evaluate and recommend approval in accordance with underwriting guidelines, regulations and M/I Financial policies.
    • Work through training to complete VA and FHA appraisal certifications.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Reviews, examines and analyzes documents including, but not limited to, plans and specs, URAR, Builder Certifications.
    • Reviews and analyzes results from submitting appraisals to Collateral Underwriter, Collateral Advisor, LSAM, EAD
    • Communicates with branch employees and all contract appraisers regarding questions, concerns, and corrective actions for appraisals.
    • Reviews current agency appraisal guides and updated M/I Financial underwriting manual.
    • Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.

     

    Required Skills

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

    Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent in specialized training from a two-year college or technical school combined with one to five years of related experience and/or training; thorough knowledge and understanding terminology and guidelines.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

    • Ability to research, interpret, analyze and evaluate given information relative to underwriting appraisals for all mortgage loan programs.
    • Good customer service orientation with ability to handle difficult situations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization.
    • General administrative skills including typing, filing and use of a computer, calculator, copier and facsimile machines.

     

    WORK CONDITIONS: 

    • Weekend work may be required.
    • Office Environment.
