  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for administering international and graduate programs.

    • Travel to promote programs, recruit students and faculty, and develop agreements with international partners;

    • Increase enrollment of current programs in domestic and international markets;

    • Coordinate with the offices of co-sponsoring schools regarding application and admission processes for students;

    • Respond to student queries regarding study abroad, exchange, and dual-degree programs;

    • Coordinate outreach and advise students on general issues relating to study abroad preparation and deployment;

    • Coordinate with Business Office, Financial Aid Office, co-sponsoring schools, and other home institutions to facilitate payments of all study abroad tuition & fees;

    • Provide frequent reports on the status of programs;

    • Supervise office staff;

    • Set marketing and enrollment goals for programs;

    • Organize all study-abroad programs;

    • Prepare reports to academic accreditation authorities for all supervised programs;

    • Develop and monitor budgets for international and graduate programs;

    • Develop proposals for new international programs and opportunities;

    • Serve on committees related to international programs;

    • Complete miscellaneous projects under the direction of the Dean;

    • Work closely with members of the faculty and senior administrative staff;

    • Represent the College of Law in various programs and at various events;

    • Maintain, in connection with Communications, and Program Directors, the International & Graduate Programs web-pages;

    • REPORTING AND ANALYSIS

      • Compile and analyze statistical reporting for all study abroad, exchange, and dual-degree programs;
      • Create reports, if and when necessary, for other offices to facilitate coordination for study abroad, exchange, and dual-degree programs

       

       RECRUITING/MARKETING

      • Recruit and actively market to both students and faculty at co-sponsoring schools into study abroad programs via e-mail campaigns, presentations, and individual meetings;
      • Assist with marketing of training programs offered by the International & Graduate Programs Office;
      • Oversee, with Communications, the creation of program brochures for all International & Graduate Programs offerings;
      • Ensure all relevant study abroad program information is current and available via multiple advertising channels, and
    • EVENT PLANNING

      • Organize and manage events for study abroad programs;
      • Identify and facilitate relevant and stimulating guest speaker events;
      • Coordinate events with international student organizations to promote global awareness;
      • Educate students and faculty about health, safety, and study abroad logistics;
      • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent foreign degree required with 8-10 years of experience. Extensive past international travel relating to international program development (study abroad, institutional partnerships, etc.) is required.   Strong communications skills, organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize among competing tasks.  High degree of sound judgment, tact, and confidentiality.  Strong administrative skills are essential.  Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice.  Must be able to supervise full-time employees effectively, and to counsel both foreign and American law students.  Works to build an environment that promotes and facilitates the success of Diversity and Inclusive Excellence.  Flexibility to work nights and weekend, and outside of regular office hours.

    Computer skills to include: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    PREFERRED:  Prior experience as a law faculty or running international programs is a strong plus.  Foreign language skills are particularly helpful. Fluency in Spanish and/or French desirable.  Familiarity with Banner, TerraDotta, ACES2 systems.
