    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

     

    The Dashboard Developer provides a pivotal role in data visualization and will create reports and dashboards for project use. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience required to support tasks such as: identifying, installing, configuring, developing, deploying, training and maintaining high-quality dashboard reports and dashboard visualizations based on defined customer requirements. The qualified candidate will effectively communicate with project stakeholders to identify meaningful visualizations of anonymous person-centric data, and work with the team to identify and estimate work. This position will require the candidate to stay abreast of all upcoming tool vendor features and capabilities in order to maximize the potential of the tool. The candidate will evaluate new technologies, data sources, and processes that provide the business with enhanced analytic capabilities.

     

    This role will include, however not limited to, the following job functions:

    • Collect reporting requirements from Business and Project stakeholders
    • Understand business requirements and develop dashboard based BI Solutions
    • Understand dashboard tool logical models and build appropriate dashboard applications
    • Develop and design Load Scripts for data and real-time data integration under guidance from systems Lead Architects
    • Engage with ETL Developers to create or design extracts that feed visualizations
    • Conduct UX sessions, translate end user business requirements into intuitive, visually effective user interfaces for Dashboards, Analytics and Reporting
    • Create mockups/wireframes via PowerPoint / Visio or other similar tools
    • Extensive experience in all aspects of Development including, but not limited to, Developing meaningful and efficient Dashboards, Analytics, Reporting, Visualizations, Unit testing, Integration testing and Production support.
    • Create customized and interactive Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI dashboards using multiple data sources
    • Create and present application in a way that tells the business story and addresses the solution to the business issue
    • Provide effective dashboard training to reporting end-users and documentation of solutions and technical decisions
    • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of learning new technologies quickly.

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate degree in science or technology fields
    • Initial exposure to Tableau Server & Tableau Desktop and/or Microsoft PowerBI.
    • User Interface and Visual Design Skills
    • Strong experience with Business Intelligence concepts and patterns
    • Experience with waterfall and agile projects a plus
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
    • Exhibits a “can-do and collaborative attitude” to get the job done
    • Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
    • Strong Presentation and Documentation skills

     

     

     

     

    EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in quantitative areas, master’s degree preferred
