    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

    The scope for the intern is working on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) projects, driving process improvement changes with M&A, and working on strategic business projects.

    With this work, you will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive understanding of the business processes as well develop a strong working rapport with business users. You will also be able to help lead project management process for projects including scope identification, project planning, and project status reporting. You will learn the system landscape and business offerings.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    With the IT M&A team, deliver milestones and PMO activities for high-profile M&A programs within the Corporate Solutions Integrations IT (CSI) M&A team. Work closely with other IT functions such as Project Management Office (PMO), applications, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams on deliverables and project tracking. This includes working with workstreams who are developing schedules, tracking, executing against milestones and tasks, and ensuring integration of those schedules are according to scope and budget.

    • Ensure project milestones and targets are met by actively managing project on a day to day basis through appropriate resource, issue, and risk management.
    • Ensure project management process and best practices for projects including scope identification, project planning, and project status reporting
    • Successfully help team deliver assigned projects to targets (on time, on budget, and in scope).
    • Ensure teams report to the PMO for the duration of all assigned projects. Including strategies, risk mitigation, and working with business managers to propose and justify new technology-based business improvements.
    • Coordinate in the project management process for projects including scope identification, project planning, and project status dashboard reporting.
    • Assist in collecting lessons learned and utilizing these lessons learned for process improvement ideas.
    • Ensure appropriate tools and techniques are available and employed by the project team to enable them to meet their assigned objectives successfully.
    • With the team help drive efficiency and effectiveness of projects in support of business goals and objectives, as well as leverage continuous improvement tools to improve the system integration processes.
    • Work with multiple business areas and IT, help identify and define best business practices for merges and acquisitions, divestitures, project reporting, tools, templates, dashboards, and playbooks. Continuously improve processes, tasks, and milestones using feedback and lessons learned as input into existing or future project plans
    • Translate client requirements to system / functional requirements to facilitate requirement reviews and subsequent design.
    • Work on enhancement requirements to create functional specifications, test plans, and testing requirements.
    • Lead or help support and test participate in testing of system requirements or training as needed. Assist with functional and end user testing.
    • Oversee or help implement strategic project activities or tasks with team.
    • Follow project methodology guidelines and standards.
  • Qualifications
    • Currently pursuing a Master's in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Project Management
    • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

    • Knowledge of IT M&A deliverables and M&A lifecycle artifacts a plus
    • Experience with O365 Suite, MS Teams, Sharepoint
    • PMP certifications a plus
