    Project Manager Intern – IT

    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

    The Project Manager Internship position provides an opportunity for computer science or Information Technology students who are currently pursuing a computer science, information technology or like Information Technology degree to get hands on experience working with IT professionals in a fast-paced Information Management environment. The IT project Manager intern will contribute to design deliverables, communicate change to various stakeholders on the transforming divisional initiative to consolidate product lines processes by reducing business applications footprint. The position starts in June, paid working 40 hours per week through August.  Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Contribute to business requirements gathering, solution design and delivery, run user acceptance testing.

    • Provide timely communication to various stakeholders to drive excitement.

    • Be involved with many aspects of project management including organizational change.

    • Learn about project management results through daily activities.

    • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements.

    • Specific tasks will be tailored to the IT interns experience level and abilities

    • An IT Project Manager intern works under the close supervision of Systems Analysts and Sr. project managers.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team

    • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve

    • Have good documentation skills

    • Outstanding customer focus

    • Familiarity with Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing Computer Science or Information Technology Degree

    • Previous Internship Experience
