    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position has overall responsibility for physical plant and all machinery maintenance. Responsible for Large Capital Facility expansion and implementation of effective PM programs to maximize uptime on production equipment.

      • Implement and sustain 5S principles in maintenance responsible areas
    • Manage maintenance and facilities departments and confers with staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
    • Maintains a close relationship with other departments to support CI initiatives
    • Accountable for plant appearance, facility infrastructure function, machine availability, capital project management, maintenance cost management
    • Plan and execute major capital projects, develop world class preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance/TPM strategies
    • Works with contractors, engineers, internal personnel under the direction of the Site Leader to ensure procedures and execution for accomplishing projects including staffing requirements, identification, and avoidance of conflicting tasks
    • Works with equipment manufacturers, contractors, riggers, freight agencies, etc. to obtain critical details required to complete projects ensuring minimal interruption to normal production operations.
    • Obtains detailed quotes on equipment required for projects or other facility related expenditures
    • Presents intelligent options to management for consideration with recommendations including pros and cons of alternatives
    • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel to ensure project progress is scheduled and within prescribed budget. Has excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
    • Prepares and reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required
    • Prepares reports for management, client, or others.
    • Knowledge of Aerospace Special Processes including – Vacuum Furnaces, Coating Furnaces, CNC Machining, Grinding, etc
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • B.S. in Civil, Facilities Management, or Construction Engineering, or Business (preferred, but not required)
    • Background in manufacturing operations such as automotive, automation, high volume production, aerospace, aviation, capex project management (preferred)
    • Strong compliance and regulatory experience
    • Excellent communications skills both oral and written
    • A demonstrated record of accomplishment on delivering results
    • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
