    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP:

    The Process Engineer Internship position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or like engineering/scientific degree to get hands on experience working with engineers in a fast-paced technical operations environment. The process engineer intern will contribute to design of experiments (DOE) and advanced data analysis of those experiments. THE POSITION STARTS IN MAY/JUNE, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Provide engineering support related to characterization including experiment design, set-up, execution, and analysis.
    • Support a variety of engineering activities and may be assigned to a variety of engineering tasks throughout the department.
    • Be involved with many aspects of technical operations functions and assist with analysis tasks.
    • Provide feedback on experiments and designs.
    • Learn about process engineering and manufacturing support through daily activities.
    • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements.
    • Specific tasks will be tailored to the process engineer interns experience level and abilities.
    • A process engineer intern works under the close supervision of engineers, project managers, and technical operations engineering managers.
  • Qualifications
    • Engineering or Life Science Degree
    • Previous Internship Experience Desired
    • Experience with MS excel, JMP
