PROJECT MANAGEMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY INTERN

SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP:
This internship provides an opportunity for students focused on environmental sustainability and an interest in project management to get hands-on experience creating business cases and managing the implementation of important projects that support the corporation’s net-zero goals. This is a full-time, paid position running from May through August 2023, and will report to Program Management on the sustainability team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Learn about the team’s focus areas in environmental sustainability.
Create business case(s) for project(s) including supporting data.
Under guidance from Sr. Program Manager:
Understand current process for area of focus
Create project plan and implementation timeline
Calculate or have calculated, the ROI and CO2 benefit
Co-lead core team meetings
Ensure accurate and timely project execution
Coordinate project status updates in accordance with project management standards; maintain meeting minutes, action items, agendas, identification of the critical path and scorecard creation
Co-lead implementation
Close project with documented summary of actions taken and savings realized

QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas of study (or similar):
Sustainability
Environmental Science
Public Health
Business
