    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    The training specialist will be part of a cohesive team responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of an effective training program. The selected candidate will collaborate and coordinate with site management and subject matter experts to design, develop and implement sustainable cGMP and non-cGMP competency-based training to ensure the workforce is compliant with company procedures and regulatory expectations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Training program design, training materials design, training delivery, and evaluations of training effectiveness in support of site management objectives.

    • Develop training for classroom, OJT, Pass it Ons, and Coaching sessions

    • Deliver, monitor, assess varying training topics including New Hire Orientation, safety, GMP compliance manufacturing operations, leadership development, and advanced skills training for various pharmaceutical functional areas.

    • Builds partnerships with all functional areas to ensure training is effective for improving performance

    • Design and develop instructional materials using sound instructional design principles for adult learners using a variety of tools.

    • Ensure all training materials comply with site safety, compliance, environmental and functional requirements.

    • Ensure training documentation is maintained and stored as required to support training program compliance for the site

    • Compile and report site training metrics

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training program aspects using pre- and post- event measures and synthesize the results into meaningful improvement suggestions.

    • Perform needs and gaps analyses to proactively identify additional training needs

    • Author engaging eLearning courseware challenging learners with simulations to anchor learning. Includes developing scripts, storyboards, media elements (audio, video, graphics, animations), interactivity, and measurement instruments/evaluations.

    • Works with Training Manager and LMS POCs to ensure eLearning evaluations and assessments are captured to support training documentation per GMPs.

    • Participates in initiatives to support innovation and continuous improvement activities, including digital solutions to achieve learning objectives.

    • Improve compliance within training program procedures, policies, and regulations.

    HOW WILL YOU GET THERE?

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Business, Learning, Education, Organizational Psychology, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science or related field

    • 2-3 years of related pharmaceutical experience, preferably in a L&D, QC or QA environment

    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

    • Previous training experience in the pharmaceutical industry (an asset)

    • Knowledge of cGMP requirements and pharmaceutical processing regulations

    • Strong team building and organization skills

    • Ability to make decisions and work with minimal to moderate supervision.

    • Able to provide effective written or verbal communication to peers, senior associates, and area management within their operational groups

    • Solid understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.

    • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to develop spreadsheets, presentations, and reports

    • Excellent written and oral skills

    • Strong planning, organization and multitasking skills, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness Strong

    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, excel)

    • Proficiency with the English language
