    Summary of Internship:

    This internship is part of the global environmental safety and health team and will be responsible for assessing products meeting dangerous goods regulation, including developing a global wide awareness on lithium battery shipping regulations, assisting with development and execution of training programs and documenting the battery specification sheets within product life cycle management tool.

    This candidate will have the opportunity to blend technical skills and interpersonal skills to meet the objective of product safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product safety assessments and how global regulation impacts the business from defining compliance requirements and designing a solution using cutting edge technology/software.

    Key Responsibilities & Competencies:

    • Provide support related to Dangerous Goods Compliance Projects.
    • Provide support related to Dangerous Goods training Programs.
    • Develop a mechanism and maintain Dangerous Goods data for the projects implemented.
    • Assist in the development and to improve management of records for the Dangerous Goods products.
    • Interact globally with computer division sites to collect the technical specification documents.
    • Interact globally to identify the employees requires training on Lithium battery regulation.
    • Coordinate with core teams like Hazard communication/Distribution/Product management across the business to ensure the product safety documents are continuously maintained in PLM tool.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:

    • Sophomore, Junior or senior working towards a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, MIS, Mathematics, Chemistry or related technical degree.

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
    • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve.
    • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements.
    • Exceptional customer focus and aptitude for writing compliance programs.
    • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint) required.
