    IT Specialist II Department: IT Location: Paso Robles, CA The IT Specialist II is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure and the department. The IT Specialist II will assist in the creation and the completion of mid to top tier projects within the department. As a technology company, this is a critical position with IQMS. Based on education, experience and knowledge applicable specifically to this area, exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance pertaining to the business operations of IQMS. Required Proficiencies, Background & Education: * Some college or certification training and 1-2 years? of professional IT experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Strong technical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills * Critical thinking and problem solving skills are required * In-depth knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems (Windows 10) is required * Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2 operating systems is required * Working knowledge of Oracle database is preferred * VMware ESXi 5.x and 6.x is preferred * Technical certifications are preferred * Avaya IP Office phone systems knowledge preferred Job Responsibilities: * Provide logistical support for servers, switches, virtual environments, and other infrastructure required to maintain maximum systems uptime * Responsible for completing projects both assigned and self-created * Provide technical assistance and support for incoming support requests related to computer systems, software, and hardware * Continuous and meticulous documentation of procedures and support issues * Provide assistance with departmental process improvements * Provide a high level of customer service and follow through to end users to ensure issues are resolved to their satisfaction in a timely fashion * Responsible for imaging workstations for users, installing required software, and complete data migrations as needed * Responsible for imaging and preparing training systems * Responsible for managing and troubleshooting Avaya IP phone systems * Aditional job duties as assigned Additional Requirements: * Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs * Punctuality and time management skills are critical * Due to responsibility for critical systems integrity, position will occasionally require extra hours in evenings and weekends (to be minimized to any extent) * Requires successful completion of EnterpriseIQ training and testing This is a full-time salaried position based at our Paso Robles, CA office, reporting to the Director, IT.
