    Job Description

    Provide chemical and regulatory (DOT and EPA) knowledge to the whole company including immediate field support. Support operations and sales by reviewing incoming lab packs into Clean Earth(CE)-owned Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs) and provide estimates for lab pack work.

    Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

    • Review and approve/reject broker and self-pack packing lists prior to packaging and receiving of wastes into CE TSDFs.
    • Provide Sales support by creating estimates from site walks and inventories for lab pack, DEA, and high haz work.
    • Develop and implement training for field and plant personnel who provide/perform lab pack services by providing classroom and in-field training.
    • Provide immediate chemical and regulatory support for the company which includes operations, sales, EHS, and customer service.
    • Create packing slips and any other necessary paperwork upon request for proper lab pack shipments.
    • Audit internal and external lab packed jobs/container packaging.
    • Assist in the field for large lab pack projects when needed
    • Perform other reasonably related tasks assigned by management.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong working knowledge of environmental and regulatory rules and requirements.
    • Minimum 3 years of lab pack experience including segregating, waste code and shipping description assignment, packing, manifesting, and shipping.
    • Strong knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations and state waste regulations.
    • General knowledge and understanding of basic chemistry
    • General knowledge of available waste treatment technologies.
    • Current OSHA 40-hr and DOT/RCRA training

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Must be able to travel nationwide at least 20% of time. Travel also varies in frequency and duration.

    • Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator

    • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers to provide information, explanation, and/or instructions.

    • Ability to follow directions or instructions

    • Has strong computer skills to communicate, create, and access information

    • Pays attention to details.
