In this position you will work under general direction, develop new cutting edge research solutions for optical research and development programs. Roles and Responsibilities: + Develop new and innovative optical solutions related to free-space optical communications, optical remote sensing, photonic integrated circuits, lasers, optical amplifiers, optical transmitters and receivers, diode-pumped solid-state lasers and amplifiers, RF photonics, and/or lasers for directed energy + Develop new designs for optical transmitters, receivers, high-power and low-noise optical amplifiers for deployment in challenging space and airborne applications
