Lighthouse Lab Services is currently looking for an experienced Cytotechnologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Gainesville, FL. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a crucial role in the early detection and diagnosis of various diseases by examining cellular samples. This is a DAY shift position and offers a competitive salary range of $26-$34 per hour and an opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform microscopic examination of cellular samples, including Pap smears, to identify abnormalities and potential signs of disease.
2. Utilize advanced laboratory equipment and technology to analyze cell specimens.
3. Collaborate with pathologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results.
5. Adhere to quality control and quality assurance standards to ensure the reliability of test results.
6. Stay abreast of advancements in cytology and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
7. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field.
2. Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
3. Florida State license in Medical Lab Science
4. Previous experience as a Cytotechnologist is preferred.
5. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
