Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with one of North Carolina's leading Healthcare systems and we are looking for a Medical Technologist to join the Microbiology team.

Position Information:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II - Microbiology is responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems.
• Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods.
• Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation.
• May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement safety quality control regulatory administrative staff development and computer systems.
• Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical Laboratory experience in high complexity testing required.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology OR associate degree in medical laboratory technology required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
ASCP, AMT, or equivalent 

Hours of Work:
Four 10-hour shifts per week

Weekend Requirements:
Every Third

Call Requirements:
