Lighthouse Lab Services has joined a small but rapidly growing lab in Miami, FL that prides themselves on their commitment to excellence, innovation, and personalized patient care. We're seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Lab Technician to join the mission to deliver accurate and timely test results that make a difference in patient outcomes.

Job Overview:

The MLT will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently, including specimen processing, sample analysis, and result reporting.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols to maintain the integrity and accuracy of laboratory test results.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Document and maintain accurate records of test results, quality control data, and other relevant laboratory information.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure clear understanding of test requirements and results.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on the latest developments in laboratory science and technology.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a reference laboratory environment.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation related to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Shift and Salary: 

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00am - 5:00pm
• $22.00 - $27.00/hour
