Lighthouse is working with a well-established healthcare network in the North Carolina, and we are in search for a Medical Lab Scientist II for the Transfusion department. 

Position Information:

• The Med Lab Scientist II performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems.
• Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods.
• Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures instrumentation.
• May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement safety quality control regulatory administrative staff development and computer systems.
• Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years of Clinical Laboratory Moderate and High Complexity Testing Required or Equivalent Education Requirement

Education Required:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Required 
  

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• ASCP
• AMT
• Or equivalent

Hours of Work:
Four 10-hour shifts per week

Weekend Requirements:
Every Fourth

Salary:

• $27-$35 Depending on Experience
