Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a laboratory in Aiea, Hawaii that is looking for an Laboratory Assistant Manager – Microbiology to join their growing team!

Position Overview:

• Performs routine testing in all departments (Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Serology)
• Performs quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines
• Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance
• Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals
• Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
• Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications
• Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning
• Providing training to all testing personnel
• Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel
• Perform other duties as directed

Candidate Profile:

• B.S. (or higher) in Biology, Medical Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of Clinical Laboratory Experience in a High-Complexity Clinical Lab
• Prior Supervisor experience is required.
• Preferred experience in Microbiology

Salary / Shift / Benefits:

• Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:00PM
• Salary Range : $90k – 112k annually
