    Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with a start-up lab in Mobile, AL and we are on the search or an LC/MS General Supervisor.

    Job Overview:

    The LCMS General Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LCMS laboratory. This individual is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate performance of LCMS analyses, managing laboratory staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the development of laboratory protocols and procedures.

    Responsibilities:

    Supervision and Leadership:

    • Provide leadership and direction to the LCMS laboratory team.
    • Manage and mentor laboratory staff, including training, performance evaluations, and professional development.

    Laboratory Operations:

    • Oversee the planning and execution of LCMS analyses in accordance with established protocols.
    • Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of LCMS instruments.
    • Troubleshoot and address technical issues related to LCMS analyses.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA) and accreditation requirements.

    Method Development and Optimization:

    • Collaborate with laboratory management to develop and optimize LCMS methods for new assays or research projects.
    • Stay current with advances in LCMS technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

    Data Management:

    • Oversee the proper documentation and storage of analytical data.
    • Collaborate with the laboratory information systems team to ensure the efficient functioning of data management systems.

    Resource Management:

    • Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, reagents, and supplies.
    • Monitor and manage budgetary considerations for the LCMS laboratory.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science).
    • Previous experience in LCMS analysis and laboratory management.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality control processes.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with relevant laboratory information systems and software.

    Salary:

    $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

    Day shift
