Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia that is looking for a Toxicology Laboratory Supervisor to join their growing team!
POSITION OVERVIEW:
• Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines
• Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance
• Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals
• Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
• Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications
• Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning
• Providing training to all testing personnel
• Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel
• Day to Day supervision of the of the laboratory operation Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, and reporting and maintaining records of the patient test result.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
• Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
• Experience with Agilent 6460 and CLC analyzers preferred
• Previous experience with toxicology sample prep and LCMS testing required
SALARY / BENEFITS / SHIFT:
• Day Shift: Monday-Friday
• $75 - 85k/yearly
