    2023 MECOP ME intern primary work responsibilities are Sustaining Engineering for Flow Cytometry and Value Engineering for BID instrumentation. Using engineering principles and collaboration with the Sustaining, Value Engineering and Sourcing teams the intern will participate in quality improvements and cost savings analysis on existing and new products.

    The day-to-day duties will be performed in the office and lab. Duties include using SolidWorks to build new and updated designs, performing feasibility analysis, 3D printing, building prototype units and testing. Participate in team meetings, collaborate with local and international service and manufacturing teams to understand cost savings opportunities and field issues. Using the ECO process these identified opportunities will be implemented into manufacturing.

    • Excellent communication, technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

    • Must be a phenomenal teammate prepared to lead, work in, and accept a team-based culture

    EDUCATION

    • Enrolled in an UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAM in any engineering or science field.

    • 0-2 years experience.
