  • Responsibilities

    This position is for a 12 hour day/night shift on a 2-3-2 format, 2 week rotating.

    How will you make an impact?

    You will perform calibrations on production equipment and process monitoring / controlling systems. You will assist in the repair of the equipment when needed. You will document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests or inspections performed as required by Company policies and procedures. This documentation plays a key role in determining the Safety, Quality, Identity, Potency and Purity (SQIPP) of the products we manufacture for our customers.

    What you will do:

    • Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on various systems, components, and equipment.
    • Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests or inspections performed as required by Company policies and procedures.
    • Review calibration records for completeness and compliance with SOPs and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain PMs governing calibrations of specific instruments.
    • Monitor the status of calibration activities for business units and site services.
    • Troubleshoot operational problems in order to identify appropriate corrective action.
    • Perform repairs on equipment from written instructions, plans, diagrams, oral descriptions, or self-determined job requirements based on observed conditions.
    • Revise schematics and blueprints to reflect any modifications to equipment or systems.
    • Develop and maintain SOPs for instrument calibrations.
    • Maintain and upgrade technical and nontechnical skills through participation in company and outside training programs.
    • Comply with department work schedules, shifts, call-ins; stand by, department coverage and overtime.
    • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
    • Comply with SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) through adherence to SOPs and company policies relating to quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Qualifications

    How will you get here?

    Education:

    Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with an emphasis in Electronics or Industrial Technology is required.

    Experience:

    4 years of industrial experience in Instrumentation or Electronics and experience in an FDA regulated industry is preferred.

    Equivalency:

    Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

    Physical Requirements:

    Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office and manufacturing locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 50 pounds, occasionally more; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
