    POSITION:

    We are currently seeking a full-time Municipal Engineering Team Leader. If you are ready to take on a leadership role but are not able to within your current company structure this is the opportunity for you! This person will provide management of clients and projects as well as mentoring of current staff. You will have the opportunity to join our local team that has a track record of successfully completing a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects for our large portfolio of clients.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting, contracting, design, and QA/QC
    • Team management including mentoring, professional development of team, and managing workload of staff
    • Client relations including council meetings with existing, targeted, and new clients
    • Marketing including proposals, interviews, public involvement, and development of new municipal clients with the assistance of our business development and marketing teams

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 10 or more years of experience required
    • Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply
    • Prior experience with municipal engineering, client management, project management, and consulting required
    • PE license required
    • Involvement in professional organizations and experience with project funding are preferred
    • Prior experience with mentoring and managing a team or desire to step into that role
    • We are looking for someone to be a hands on manager with the ability to be a seller/doer
    • The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully working with municipal clients in with the ability to present technical solutions to clients yet understands the importance of exceptional listening skills to create and maintain client relationships

  • Qualifications
    • Understanding of Federal contracting bid process
    • Familiar with Shipley proposal process
    • Keen attention to detail and follow-through skills
    • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 (including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Word), SharePoint (required), and Adobe Acrobat Professional
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading abilities
    • Ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly in both writing and orally
    • Ability to give clear, concise directions and organize large volumes of information
    • Comfortable speaking with executive and senior-level management teams
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often with short notice, to meet tight deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure, handle last-minute requests, and multitask
    • Able to effectively prioritize and work independently
    • Ability to successfully communicate with proposal team, teammates, corporate executive management, and other employees at all levels
    • Must possess demonstrated abilities to work under and tight deadlines, work independently and as part of a team prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stress and ability to work with a diverse group of personalities
    • Excellent organizational skills, writing skills, and oral communication skills.
    • Understanding of US Government contracting proposal processes
    • Ability to travel 25% to work on-site with Proposal Team when requested, typically Atlanta GA
    • Participate and support proposal review meetings as assigned
