Being part of the validation team, you will be supporting the validation manager and work alongside the engineers to ensure qualification document deliverables are kept on schedule and in line with industry standards.

    What will you do?

    • Work with cross-functional business groups to schedule customer FATs.
    • Create automation tools for to schedule and tracking validation deliverables.
    • Analysis FAT data and feedback to create KPI's in order to determine route cause of validation, manufacturing and quality issues encountered during FAT executions.
    • Create graphic presentations for KPIs and issue analysis.
    • Prepare customer validation packages for FAT execution.
    • Review executed FAT protocols for completion and GDP compliance.
    • Scan and archive electronic version for executed FAT protocols.

    How will you get here?

    Education High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience

    • Experience adherent to Biotech industry regulations and standards.
    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities * Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of adhering to strict deadlines.
    • Highly effective verbal and written skills.
    • Detailed GDP knowledge; as well as Quality Assurance experience in biotechnology industry.
    • A good understanding engineering and Biotech industry principles and practices.
    • Excellent PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications, PDF applications).
    • Strong time management skills, formatting of control documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering documentation and drawings.

    Summary of Internship The Manufacturing Engineering Internship position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or like engineering degree to get hands on experience working with engineers and production assemblers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will contribute to new product development projects and production support activities.

    The position starts in June, paid working 40 hours per week through August.

    Essential Functions

    • Provide engineering support related to product development projects including process development, , QC methods, and production support
    • Support a variety of manufacturing engineering activities and may be assigned to a variety of engineering tasks throughout the department
    • Create and implement essential manufacturing documentation (Drawings, procedures, data sheets)
    • Design and build test fixtures
    • Learn and apply Good Manufacturing Practices
    • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements
    • Specific tasks will be tailored to the Manufacturing Engineering Intern's experience level and abilities
    • A Manufacturing Engineering Intern works under the close supervision of engineers, team leaders, and project managers Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
    • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
    • Desire to contribute and improve design and manufacturability of new and existing scientific instrumentation products
    • Exceptional customer focus
    • Desire to teach other engineers about technology in area of expertise
    • Familiarity with of least one CAD tool such as Solidworks or ProE
    • Aptitude for following procedures Qualifications
    • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
    • General chemistry or greater science knowledge preferred
