Lighthouse Lab Services is the leading provider of clinical laboratory recruiting and consulting services in the United States. We're partnering with a fast-growing clinical diagnostics laboratory in the Miami Lakes, FL area to find a talented FP&A Manager to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with healthcare or laboratory experience to step into a high-impact role, working closely with senior leadership to drive strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning for all lab operations
Deliver monthly P&L variance analysis, KPI dashboards, and executive-level reporting
Build financial models to support capital investments, service line expansion, and reimbursement changes
Analyze cost per test, test mix, volume trends, and operational efficiency metrics
Collaborate with lab operations to understand cost drivers (labor, reagents, equipment utilization) and integrate into financial strategy
Partner with commercial leaders on pricing strategies and payer contract modeling
Conduct ad hoc analysis for new business opportunities and internal performance initiatives
Track and report on industry trends affecting the lab (e.g., Medicare fee schedule updates, regulatory changes, reimbursement policies)
Support the CFO in preparing materials for board meetings, audits, and investor reviews
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CFA preferred)
Minimum 5 years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within healthcare or diagnostics
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Proficiency with Excel and experience with FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite, Anaplan, etc.)
Clear and confident communication skills, able to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional leadership team
Preferred:
Prior experience in a clinical lab or diagnostics testing environment
Familiarity with reimbursement models, revenue cycle metrics, or healthcare-specific KPIs
Experience with Power BI or Tableau
