Lighthouse Lab Services is proud to partner with a growing clinical laboratory just south of Lexington, KY in search of a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a day shift (10am-6pm), Tuesday-Saturday role with a well-established and collaborative lab environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You'll be a key part of a dynamic lab team performing testing across multiple departments, including:

• Molecular

• Clinical Chemistry

• Hematology

• Urinalysis

• Immunology

Your role will involve:

• Performing and reviewing diagnostic tests with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

• Monitoring and documenting quality control metrics (daily, weekly, monthly).

• Maintaining instruments—performing troubleshooting, calibrations, and routine maintenance.

• Preparing and evaluating reagents and controls while ensuring inventory is well-stocked.

• Interpreting and validating test results, ensuring they align with expected outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

• National certification (ASCP, AMT, or AAB) preferred.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (or at least 24 hours of bio/chem coursework per CLIA guidelines).

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work occasional overtime or alternate shifts based on lab needs.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficient with computers; LIS experience is a bonus.
