Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a hospital in the Charlotte, NC area in search of a Medical Laboratory Technician(MLT) to join its core laboratory testing team. As a team member in this position, you will perform testing in the areas of chemistry, hematology and others as assigned. Other essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

• Assesses the urgency of a test and uses this assessment to prioritize workload.
• Prepares specimens for testing, verifies patient identification on samples and test requisition before testing, applies rules of specimen rejection and arranges for recollection.
• Uses and maintains equipment and instruments used in test performance, documents quality controls, performs minor troubleshooting, and maintains clean work area.
• Prepares reagents as required for test performance.
• Calculates, reports, and records test results.
• Analyzes results for critical values and reports results immediately.

Preferred Profile:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Certified as an MLT or MT by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
• 1+ years of clinical lab testing experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply!

Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift; M-F, rotating weekends and holidays

Salary and Benefits:

• $23 - $40; based on experience. Shift differential offered.
