    Responsible for managing Laboratory Services Assistants (LSA) and Laboratory Collection Service Assistants (LCSA) which includes primary responsibility for initiation, coordination, and implementation of LSA processes, policy changes and support projects. The LSA Manager is also responsible for managing the communications between the home office, sales team, and LSAs. The LSA Manager’s oversight will maximize accuracy of paperwork, increase focus, and adherence to compliance guidelines/regulations while increasing employee morale and reducing of LSA turnover at MH.

     

    • Work with the Sales Team to build, motivate and manage LSAs and LCSAs in the region/territory
    • Recommend and execute hiring of LSAs/LCSAs through coordinating with Sales Representatives
    • Provide regular updates to LSA Program Manager, Manager, LSA Field Sales and Sales Leadership on issues and opportunties for the LSA Program
    • Provide mentoring to individuals on the team to help them achieve their professional development and career objectives
    • Collaborate with the Sales Team to identify opportunities to improve LSA retention
    • Hold the team accountable for performance and conduct regular performance reviews
    • Partner with LSA Program Manager, Compliance, and Sales Team to ensure ongoing review of LSA program , i.e., LSA adherence to compliance policies and procedures, track location and level of service of LSA’s, sound hiring decisions, training/retraining of LSAs, resolution of performance issues, etc.
    • Maintain compliance documentation and conduct quarterly audits to ensure consistency and adherence to compliance regulations.
    • Ensure timely and appropriate actions be taken, i.e., coaching, written warnings, performance plans or termination to address LSA compliance violations, inappropriate behavior or failure to meet performance expectations; close partnership with Compliance, HR Business Partner and Sales Leadership
    • Communicate via email and other mediums all reminders to their employees i.e., missing information reminders, new PGT device and important considerations, etc.
    • Help create and administer recognition processes to ensure reinforcement of positive LSA behavior (low section A, missing info, being on time, etc.)
    • Ensure effective tracking and maintenance of LSA supplies and equipment
    • Work with Human Resources on LSA resignations and separations

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
    • 1 or more years of experience in managing a team of 5+ people
    • 1 or more years of experience working in Healthcare, Customer Service or Sales
    • Experience with training others, coaching direct reports, and conducting job performance reviews
    • Demonstrated ability to build and retain a high performing team
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
    • Uncompromising ethics and integrity
    • Self-starter who works effectively independently as well as in a team environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to maintain a home office
    • Flexible to travel 40% or more
