HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Through the internship program, you’ll participate in our digital strategy as a part of our Corporate eBusiness team. This project is focused on determining our future roadmap when it comes to mobile experiences. It is crucial that you can build rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization, be viewed as a teammate, and can work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines. Our Summer Associate program is a 12-week program crafted for MBA students between their 1st and 2nd years of Business School. Summer Associates are matched to one project to work on over the summer based on their abilities, combined with business needs.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Collaborate with the product management and UX design teams across fishersci.com and thermofisher.com to understand the current state of the mobile experience

• Work with UX Research to learn user research methods and conduct customer research to understand different customer segment and regional needs

• Assessment of mobile experiences in key competitors

• Partner with Testing team to conduct A/B tests to optimize the mobile experience for different prioritized experience types (ex: learning content, finding a product, checking order status)

• Lead key pilot programs to determine appropriate next steps for the roadmaps

• Document learnings and partner to establish the mobile experience roadmap

• Summer Associates will be asked to present an end of assignment presentation to their team of colleagues as well as our Senior Leadership Team at the end of their experience.

As a global organization, we have many sites located across the country; this role will be based in Carlsbad, CA

HOW WILL YOU GET HERE?

• Pursuing an MBA at an accredited higher learning program

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience prior to business school

• Outstanding, exceptional attention to detail

• Takes ownership of assigned projects, handle ambiguity and independently work towards results

• Proven track record to influence across a matrixed organization

• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team

• Strong analytical and written / verbal communication skills including excellent, differentiated facility in Microsoft PowerPoint

• Advanced technical skills within Microsoft Excel

• All candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States without restriction

• Willingness to relocate is required

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Undergraduate degree in the following majors: HFE, Computer Science, Digital Media, Applied Science in Mobile

• Market analysis

• Mobile app certifications

• Human centered design/design thinking principals

• Experience working in agile environment
