    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Toolroom Supervisor, this position is responsible for fabrication and/or repair of any mold or mold component, jig, fixture, or special machine. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and correct mold or mold related process problems.

    HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

    Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, is responsible for inspection, assembly, and packing of products. 2ND SHIFT: 2:00 PM- 10:30 PM - PENFIELD, NY

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

    • Understands and follows all safety rules and regulations regarding machine operations.
    • Capable of using all standard measuring equipment to make precise measurements.
    • Capable of reading and understanding complex Engineering drawings.
    • Be able to construct tooling from part drawings, sketches, or verbal communications.
    • Be proficient on all Toolroom equipment and bench operations.
    • Have a thorough understanding of drafts, shrinkages and tool design.
    • Understand the advantages of, and be able to select, the correct material to use in construction or repair of a tool.
    • Be able to obtain any required mold finish in a minimal amount of time.
    • Must be self-disciplined and be able to work without direct supervision; is assigned to work directly with the engineers
  • Qualifications

    HOW WILL YOU GET HERE? EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Must possess a High School diploma or a GED.
    • Completion of a four-year apprenticeship or equivalent offsetting recognizable experience required.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Journeyman Mold Maker.
    • Training, good math skills (trigonometry and geometry),
    • Must be licensed to drive both a stand-up aisle lift truck and electric and gas sit-down truck.

    PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to work in a high speed, repetitive production environment.
    • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
    • Able to adjust to changing operating conditions quickly and efficiently and vary pace as required.
