cures. In affiliation with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, we
support researchers who take a fearless approach to advancing human
health in emerging fields such as regenerative biology, metabolism,
virology and medical engineering. Through public programming, we work to
inspire scientific curiosity in everyday life. The Opportunity This is a
unique opportunity to support the infrastructure used by
internationally-ranked scientists in the Discovery Building. The
Discovery Building offers some of the most advanced networking and
computing infrastructure in the country, in addition to experimental IT
technologies. nbsp; You will support the IT infrastructure used by
scientists in the fields of biology, nanotechnology, and information
technology, all focused on improving human health. nbsp; Student
Details: The Morgridge Institute for Research will be hiring one student
for the upcoming fall semester with an estimated start date in early
September 2018 or before if possible. Student positions offer flexible
schedules and an opportunity to gain great work experience.nbsp; We are
seeking a student who can commit to 10 hours per week and has
availability during the work week (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5
p.m.). There may be opportunities for more hours over breaks. Morgridge
does not provide parking for students/interns. Bus passes are available.
Qualifications * Ideal candidates will be working towards a
bachelorrsquo;s or associates degree in computer science or information
management with at least sophomore standing * Programming knowledge of
PHP/Perl, C/C++, Javascript, CSS/HTML, and Visual Studio .Net is
required * Candidates must demonstrate the ability to communicate
effectively * Candidates should be able to handle multiple assignments
at one time, while working independently and effectively under deadlines
Knowledge of infrastructure/network management or related experience
