    Loan and Artifact Lead – MORI Associates, COMIT Contract, NASA Johnson Space Center

    Mori and Associates is looking for a talented, reliable, success-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Exhibits and Events team supporting NASA Johnson Space Center’s Office of External Relations.  This position is based in Houston, Texas.  The successful candidate will serve as the lead for execution of the Johnson Space Center’s Loan and Artifact Management Program.  The individual must be detail and process oriented, possess superior organization and verbal/written communication skills, be a self-starter and work well independently.  The ideal candidate should bring a proven track record of prior successful project, loans, property curation experience as well as effective customer relations, and be responsive while working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.

    Job Function

    Serve as customer liaison and custodian of assets and artifacts that are available for long and short-term loans to various public and private institutions.  Process loan requests following all government and contract procedures, via face-to-face communication, telephone calls, e-mail, data entry via and electronic requests submitted through the Johnson Space Center Exhibits Desk.

    Maintain a detailed, up-to-date database of loaned assets and artifacts, including location and duration of each loan.

    Report metrics on a monthly basis per contractual requirements, including loans for museums, presenters, support for various exhibits, artifacts, and number of visitors at loan and event locations.

    Support local and national event planning as required, to include supplying information on availability of assets that can be deployed to local and national events.

    Maintain an accurate inventory of all appropriate assets.

    Perform property custodian duties as outlined in the applicable COMIT Property Management Procedures.

    Actively participate in weekly coordination meetings with Exhibit team members to identify and work action items within the group.

    Basic Qualifications

    Three to five years of experience working in a customer service, client-facing role managing various assets Associates degree and at least 4 years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field

    Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills

    Must be able to adjust to varying workload levels throughout the work week
