The regular schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, from 4:00pm to 12:30amA Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science with 0-2 years lab experience is required. Coursework must include classes and labs in general chemistry I and II, organic chemistry I and II, and analytical chemistry/instrumental analysis - transcripts are requiredDuties include instrument maintenance and set-up, preparation and validation of reagents, controls and calibrators, etc. Other duties include: Proficiency in all analytical procedures in the department* Performing all or most analytical procedure within the department* Documenting quality control and taking appropriate corrective action* Entering results in LIMS* Performing instrument troubleshooting* Discarding all chemicals and biological materials properly* Participating in projects and Kaizen methodologies* Participating in all laboratory safety practicesDepending on the needs of the department, further duties may include modifying testing schedules to meet client needs, reviewing, interpreting, and releasing analytical results, and assisting in the preparation and review of SOPs. Candidate must demonstrate understanding of basic analytical concepts, as well as possess good organizational and interpersonal skills. Good computer skills are also required.
