    POSITION PURPOSE: Operates and maintains multiple unit processes in an Industrial facility to achieve and satisfy the necessary operational requirements.

    PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Tends to automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment including pumps, engines, compressors, chemical feed, and blowers.
    2. Monitors control panels and performs adjustments as necessary.
    3. Monitors flow meters, gauges, flow ratios, pressures and related controls through instrument panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units in assigned areas.
    4. Monitors and records operating conditions observations and data in area shift logs.
    5. Ensures conformance to process specifications. Diagnoses basic operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure. Verifies and reports suspected malfunctions and variances to supervisor and takes corrective actions.
    6. Performs routine and preventative maintenance and maintenance related items as assigned.
    7. Performs manual labor including filling and emptying of necessary equipment.
    8. Performs minor maintenance including, but not limited to, routine preventive maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments.
    9. Practices good housekeeping in assigned areas and properly disposes of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
    10. Performs field tests (chemical and physical) in order to pace chemical dosages.
    11. Sample collection according to required schedule.
    12. Prepares chemical solutions
    13. Monitors process chemical supplies and recommends reorder.
    14. Performs routine lab tests.
    15. Assists in other areas as needed.

    Education / Experience / Background

    • High School diploma or GED.

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

    • Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions). Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
    • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
    • Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, valves, mixers, blowers, chemical feed, measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
    • Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs for process control.
    • Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call if required by site.

    Required Certification / Licenses / Training

    • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
    • All training and the associated costs are provided.
    • Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
