Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a established laboratory opening a new location in the Daytona Beach, FL area that is looking for a Part-time Toxicology General Supervisor to join their growing team!
Position Overview:
- Provide technical and scientific guidance and support to the Laboratory Director.
- Excellent knowledge of CLIA statute and accreditation requirements.
- Ensure that all duties are properly performed and applicable CLIA regulations are met.
- Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
- Responsible for communicating company goals, policies, deadlines, monitoring and reporting on the team's performance to Executives and stakeholders.
- Provides input and ensures compliance to laboratory workflow and process improvements.
- Ensure all duties are properly performed according to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
- Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.
- Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals.
- Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
- Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications.
- Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning.
- Handles all administration related to hiring/firing, performance management and evaluations, coaching, training, etc. of all testing personnel.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
- At least 4 years experience in high complexity Toxicology testing required
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
- Experience with Agilent 6460, Shimadzu, and ImmTox 270 EIA preferred
- Previous experience with toxicology sample prep
Salary / Benefits / Shift:
Shift: Part-time up to 20 hours per week
Salary: $35/hr-$38/hr
