We provide premium laboratory services to a wide range of clients with various analytical needs. We are currently accepting applications to fill the position of Fuels and Lubricants Laboratory Intern. Schedule and Compensation Structure: School Term (typically Sep - May) * 18-24 hours across three or four shifts during normal business hours (7 am - 6 pm M-F) Summer Term (typically May - Aug) * 40 hours across five shifts during normal business hours (7 am - 6 pm M-F) Starting Compensation: $13.00 / hour *Compensation Progression: Interns in our organization receive average raises of +$1.00 / hour for each year you work with us, with a maximum pay rate of $18.00 / hour. Summary: Co-Op / Intern is responsible for gaining an understanding of what it takes to excel in a professional setting while performing relevant job duties and tasks which result in a mutually beneficial experience for all involved parties. Responsibilities are assigned, as applicable, by a mentor / supervisor and will include tasks directly related to: production chemistry; complying with all applicable guidelines, rules, & regulatory references; participation on project teams; evaluation, improvement, & implementation of new procedures, and; maintaining proper documentation for QA/QC or audit purposes. Responsibilities: * Behave in a mature and professional manner * Perform assigned tasks deliberately and without prompting * Maintain high levels of communication with assigned mentor / supervisor * Accept coaching and feedback from mentor / supervisor * Request clarification relating to tasks and projects prior to performing work, as needed * Maintain a clean and organized work space * Plan daily tasks effectively * Other duties, as assigned Requirements: * Must be a US Citizen or possess a valid unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States * High School diploma or GED * In good standing and actively enrolled in applicable, accredited degree program Physical Requirements: * As applicable based on Co-Op / Intern work assignment * Ability to remain in a seated and/or standing position for extended periods * Ability to wear PPE as required by internal protocol The selected candidate must be a US Citizen or possess a valid unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
