Lighthouse Lab Services is the nation’s leading provider of clinical laboratory talent. We are seeking a qualified Technical Consultant to oversee moderate complexity laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in Chemistry, Toxicology, and Hematology who are looking for a flexible part-time opportunity.
This position requires 4 hours of remote work monthly, annual visits to Cary, NC, and a compensation of $400/monthly.
Key Responsibilities
Provide monthly remote consultations (4 hours) to ensure laboratory compliance with CLIA standards.
Conduct an annual onsite visit to review laboratory practices and provide guidance.
Oversee test methodologies and validate procedures for accuracy and precision.
Assist in the selection and implementation of appropriate testing protocols.
Ensure enrollment in approved proficiency testing programs.
Maintain documentation and records as required by accrediting agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science (e.g., Chemistry, Hematology, or related field)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting, specifically in moderate complexity testing.
Familiarity with CLIA regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong communication skills for effective remote consultations.
Must reside in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area
Schedule & Commitment
Monthly: 4 hours of remote consultation.
Annually: 1 onsite visit to the laboratory facility.
